Your goose is cooked
Yeah, I haven't written in a while, deal with it! I've finally managed to convince my Mom to prepare something different for the holidays. We're going to have roasted goose! I'm excited b/c I've always wanted to have a kind of Dickensian xmas, a wealthy Dickensian xmas that is. I know we're going to roast the goose but I have to do some more research on the stuffing and side dishes. It has to be authentic. I hope my Dad likes it but he'll probably find some way to complain about it.
I leave on Saturday morning for NYC. I'm a little apprehensive about the whole airport experience with Tiggy. At the security checkpoint I have to take her out of her carry bag and walk through the metal detector holding her. I'm always worried about her freaking out and jumping out of my grasp. She's always been good about it the two times I have had to go through this with her but you never know.
How is everyone doing with their xmas shopping? I have so much shopping left to do. I picked up a few things and sent them home with my parents. It doesn't make much sense to buy too much down here b/c there is sales tax on everything and that sales tax is 9.75%!!!!! The only good thing is the stores and malls are no where near as crowded as they are back in NY/NJ. I'm hoping to do a lot more shopping online but next Wednesday my Mom and and I will be hitting the stores for more torture. On black friday I stood in line at one store for over a half hour before I reached the register. Hopefully that won't be repeated.
I don't know what to get my Mom for xmas and she is absolutely no help. I wish I could just get her a clue b/c lord knows she needs it. Anyone have any ideas?
