Okay people - my birthday is coming up and so is xmas. My wish list Crack open those wallets are start buying. I'm just kidding. Please feel free to buy me something if the inspiration hits you! I'll never turn away a gift! I'd like a pony and a puppy and a sailboat and a winning lottery ticket and my own castle with a moat and a big wheel.....
Remember big wheels? They were the bomb. I had a brand new one and when we had a block party this big kid came over and punched me in the eye and stole my big wheel. I was only 4 or 5. My dumb ass parents never got me another one. Man was I pissed! They should make big wheels for adults. How funny would that be?
Another great toy from that era was sit and spin. What a novel idea. A toy that a kid could spin themselves silly so they can puke up their lunch. Was I the only demented child who would spin around and around until I dropped to the floor? I used to spin on my knee doing that. Good lord I can't imagine trying to do that now. My old lady knees would probably crumble into dust if I tried to do that.
One toy that I thought was totally retarded was that giant worm on wheels that kids would ride. What the hell was that? I wanted to wack it with a bat.
Do kids even play outside anymore? Or do they just sit infront of the tv watching barney, dora, elmo, spongebob and/or playing their gameboys and playstation. I was hardly ever inside as a kid. If I was inside it was b/c I had to practice the dreaded accordion for at least an hour and a half a day. Child abuse!
